Is there a more traditional quilt pattern than the log cabin? One of two log cabin patterns by this pattern company, this one is made with 1-3/4 inch cut strips. (Of course, since youre starting with 1-3/4 inch strips, theyll finish to 1-1/4 inches.) The pattern features three (of many!) possible layouts and makes the coziest scrap quilt. Depending on the log cabin layout chosen, yours may have plenty of open spaces for quilting or work best with an all-over quilting design. Go where your needle takes you!
