One day while visiting a quilting friend, I spotted a package of fat quarters in her sewing area. I immediately fell in love with the colors and prints, but I didn't mention it as I thought she had some wonderful idea for them. However, later in our conversation she said that she had won the fabric pack and really didn't like it that much. It was too bright for her taste. Hallelujah for individual differences! I paid her and brought home the bundle. It only spent a few weeks in the closet before I had to get it out and make a quilt. This quilt is composed of 3 main blocks: a flower applique' block (16 total), a flying goose block (20 total), and a plain block (13 total). The blocks all finish at 8" (unfinished 8 1/2"). The border is made of simple half square triangles.
