A fabric book that will help little ones learn and have fun! Featuring a sweet Teddy Bear and a rhyming story, this project uses fusible machine applique and is a great scrap-buster. Measures:22.5x22.5cm(9x9in) As well as loving crafty things, Fiona (the designer) is a qualified Early Childhood Educator, so knows that as well being fun to read, this book can encourage a child’s development like this: Eye-hand co-ordination – is practiced by lifting, zipping, pulling, bouncing, pressing, opening and closing. Language is practiced while talking about the pages. Words can be used to describe colors, teddies, and actions – “zip”, “bounce”, “open”. The rhyming story encourages storytelling and a love of books. Imagination is developed as stories about Teddy are created. The simple repetition encourages memory development, and shapes, colors and movements are learned. Social/Emotional – reading is a key activity that encourages a bond between the reader and the child. Gentle, rhythmic reading can help a child to settle after a busy day. Only orders that qualify dimension wise for tracking get tracking. Most single quilt patterns do not qualify for tracking because they are too small and we would be forced to charge priority mail pricing which is often over the cost of the pattern.
