Counted Quilts Quilt Patterns

My name is Lisa Muilenburg. I am fortunate enough to be a stay at home mother of 4. I grew up helping my mother with all sorts of crafty projects. I started designing in 2006 when my mom was in need of a bunny baby quilt for a granddaughter. After that success we had a few other custom requests for Grandma quilts. Soon I was hooked on the whole creative process. I started designing faster than she was having grandchildren. I started my own quilt design business in 2011. Now I have over 200 patterns to choose from. In a variety of themes and sizes.
All my quilts are made using the same stripped and pieced method.
1. Cut 2-4 sizes of strips (depending on the complexity of the image)
2. Cut each set of strips into different length rectangle pieces, and label alphabetically.
3. Follow a full page, alphabetically labeled, color diagram of the quilt you’re working on, sewing piece to piece, row by row.
The shaping is done with quick corner half square triangles. All Straight Cutting and All Straight Seams!
When my daughter was young, she asked when we were making our next “Quilt that Counts.” I told her my business was called Counted Quilts, but I think she was right. I have met so many quilters who make these quilts for family, friends, and charities. I absolutely love being a small part of making a gift that really counts. Thank you!
