Lately I've been working on what I've named Presto Links. Presto Links are small wall quilts which are cut apart and then linked back together with beads. The birdhouse quilt has a simple birdhouse with leafy vines, flowers and a bird. The parts are fused and then machine stitched with a buttonhole stitch. After quilting, the quilt is cut into pieces and linked back together with beads. Since the quilt is small, it is a good quilt for practicing your machine quilting and it is one that you can cut apart easily. This part will be hard, but remember that the beads add to the overall effect. The quilt is quick to make and is a great gift idea!
