Christine from Early Bird Quilts is a lifelong cat lady and longtime quilter whose love of the craft was sparked by her grandmother’s beautiful handiwork. When debilitating chronic illness (ME/CFS) ended her medical career prematurely, Christine began channeling her energy into pattern writing and sewing when she’s able.
Christine’s designs are intentionally cheerful as an act of rebellion against the discomforts and challenges of her life, and she hopes that sharing them brings a bit of joy to many others as well. Her detailed patterns are written to be beginner-friendly and approachable, so that makers of all skill levels can create wonderful whimsical things.
