Penny Slate Designs Quilt Patterns

Colette inherited her love for art, color and nature from her father. As a young woman she began her love for and possibilities of fabric while working at Clothworld. As the years passed, the art, color, nature and fabric collided into a love for quilting and applique’. Starting with simple designs then more detailed designs followed. This led to her Press & Peel Applique’ for fusible Applique’ which was granted patent in 2005.

In 2011, she left her education career to open Quilter’s Nook in Boydton VA where she pursued her love for art and design in fabric. Most of her designs focus on nature. Now retired from Quilter’s Nook she continues to design and quilt at her home studio while surrounded by her chickens, goats, cat and garden. Perfect!
