This is a downloadable pattern. Downloads are sent immediately after purchase.
3 Sizes: Main instruction for 36x42, with additional 24x28 and 48x56 image.
Pattern includes: Yardage and cutting charts. First chart for strips, second set of charts are for piece length from those strips. Shaping is done with quick corner triangles. Once those are marked you will follow a full page image of the quilt with alphabetically labeled pieces. Assembling the top row by row. The last picture shows the rows laid out before final assembly.
All straight cutting and all straight seams! Perfect for beginners.
I originally made this elephant pair for my kids safari room. At the time they were both in twin beds, but this design comes in my standard 3 sizes. You can still border the largest size for a twin. I have also made these elephants in different colors. Starting with traditional gray, but it can be hard to find 2 matching light and dark grays, so then we tried it in light blues. I have also seen it done in light grayish purple for a little girls. That is one of the nice things about Elephants they are very gender neutral, so if you're a grandma stock up for the big day, or someone who donates baby quilts this is the pattern for you.
